GIRI MERA CHARCOAL

Our unique trait that is different from other Halaban Charcoal is the peat from our red soil. Since we produce it traditionally by using the earth as the kiln, the charcoal produced soaks the peat from the red soil. Giving it a distinctive smoky flavor that is uniquely Giri Mera.

Giri Mera Story

Giri Mera story started back in 2000. Back then we were just a small team that helps connect charcoal crafter to our friend.

Today, we are privileged to serve our long-term friends and new patrons alike from more than 15 countries.

Origin of The Name

Giri Mera literally translated to red hills, with Giri translates as hill and Mera means red.

It is named after the place where we produce it, hilly area with red soil.

Legend has it that the red soil makes perfect charcoal where no other villages can.
